Is It Time to Put Aside Our Differences For The Sake of Unity?
(Random Thoughts)

After all, we all just want what's best for the country, don't we?  HELL NO!  If I thought B. H. Obama held ultra liberal, even socialist views, was likely to kill small businesses with his tax policies, and most probably would finish off what is left of the economy with his "cap and trade" energy policies BEFORE the election, why in the name of GOD would I change my mind AFTER the election?  As far as I can tell President-elect Obama is the same socialist today as he was on November 3.  I didn't like him then, and I don't like him now.  "But the election is over", you say.  "We're stuck with him", you explain. . . I had the same problem a few years back with a hemorrhoid that would still be with me today if I had bought the kumbaya solution!  We are called to be the loyal (to America) opposition.  Sweeping our political differences under the rug for the sake of unity only leads to a very lumpy rug.  We cannot stand quietly by while our country is plundered.  We must be watchful.  We must be vocal.  Call your Representative.  Email your Senator.  Keep yourself informed on issues that are important to you and offer support to groups that support your views.  The election may be over, but remember this:  We are "The People" referred to in the Constitution,  Mr. Obama works for us.  It's your job to make sure he never forgets it!

CONGRATULATIONS, America!
(Random Thoughts)

Way to go, American Electorate!  I'd write more, but I have to go start on my list of free stuff that I'll be expecting President Obama to send me.(sarcasm)  But seriously, folks,  I'll write more tomorrow when the blood stops shooting out of my eyes!

*V*O*T*E*! . . . unless you're a moron!
(Random Thoughts)

Contrary to popular opinion, the elect isn't over yet.  Don't let the mainstream media determine the outcome.  For the sake of Our Republic, for the sake of candidates situated down the ballot, cast your vote.  Never have the words of Edmund Burke rung truer:

"All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing."

. . . And make no mistake about itEvil is sitting on our doorstep.

If I'm Elected, I Promise You a Chicken in Every Pot and A Kitchen with Granite Counter Tops Too!
(Random Thoughts)

Our Constitution promises us life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Our founding fathers were shooting for equal opportunity for all, but in no way guaranteed an equal outcome of that opportunity. Barack Obama sees our Constitution as a flawed document and assures his followers that he'll provide them with "pie in the sky by and by!" I sense that after November 4th should Junior Senator from Illinois leverage himself into the White House there are going to be some mighty angry citizens. Either this poor woman and her ilk are going to be furious when they find out they actually DO have to still pay for their mortgages and gasoline, or me and my ilk when BHO attempts to force US to pay for mortgages and gasoline for those who can't afford it. I doubt Mr. Obama's ability to deliver on his promises, or to even try to for that matter. The safest plan of action, however is to just keep him out of the White House! Vote McCain/Palin!

WAKE UP AMERICA!!!!!
(Random Thoughts)

.  .  .  It's time to smell the coffee, but don't stop to smell the roses!  Time is short so read the handwriting on the wall.  Face the facts!  It isn't that we haven't been warned, but it's a little though to assess the core beliefs of a candidate who along with the mainstream media has done what they could to hide those beliefs from the general public.  In case you need more convincing that the junior Senator from Illinois is a socialist in liberal clothing please consider this in his own words from NPR, 2001:

Did you hear what he said?  Do you believe he meant what he said!?  Having discarded the judicial system as a vehicle of redistribution (of wealth), he points out that alliances of community organizers and legislatures are a better option to achieve that end.  Do you really want to be responsible for delivering Mr. Obama the vehicle he wants?  Do we really want a Reid, Pelosi, Obama Access of Evil towing this country down the road to socialism?  America is on the verge of voting for a change we may not survive.  Fred Thompson shares my views.  Please take the time to listen to this:

This is the most important election in modern history.  For the sake of your children and grandchildren, for the sake of the country, THINK, then vote on November 4th.

TRICK OR TREAT!
(Random Thoughts)

Redistribution of assets, for its own sake, in addition to pretty much stifling motivation to get ahead, pushes you down the road to socialism.

And Speaking of Plumbers! SUPPORT JOE!
(Random Thoughts)

Obama said, "My attitude is that if the economy’s good for folks from the bottom up, it’s gonna be good for everybody. If you’ve got a plumbing business, you’re gonna be better off if you’re gonna be better off if you’ve got a whole bunch of customers who can afford to hire you, and right now everybody’s so pinched that business is bad for everybody and I think when you spread the wealth around, it’s good for everybody."

Joe the Plumber didn't like what he heard and I doubt that most of America would like it either! Joe had the audacity to disagree with the Senator from the south side of Chicago, and for his trouble, the left is attempting to destroy him.  The way I understand it, the redistribution of wealth is a socialist idea at best, borrowed from a guy named Karl.  But in this political climate even if it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck you DARE not call it a duck or you'll be labeled racist and divisive!  I reject the charge of racism, but I don't really mind being called divisive.  It's an election, for the love of God, what do you think it is we're doing?    In 18 days, we'll be going to the polls, for the purpose of dividing the socialists from the capitalists.  .  .  I'll be voting for the ticket that isn't planning on redistributing my wealth!

We've Got Calluses on Our Hands, and Dirt on Our Boots . . .
(Random Thoughts)

Our Sarah in Bangor, Maine

. . . We are painters, plumbers, pilots, and poets. We wear lab coats, suit coats, and Carhartts. We might not know what film won the Academy Award for Best Picture last year, and we don't much care if Barbara Streisand, Tina Fey, and Matt Damon flee the country or the planet. We're plain spoken, but we're not stupid. We cling to the Constitution and the American Values it fostered. The strength of our minds and backs helped build this great nation. Belittle us if you like, but underestimate us at your own peril.

It Ought to Be Illegal . . . Voting While Racist!
(Random Thoughts)

It shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone that along with the Republicans, the Democrats, the socialists, the independents, the environmentalists, the liberals, the conservatives, the anarchists, and the largest voter block in America. . . the lost and confused, the racists will be going to the polls on November 4th.  I know this, and because he's ALWAYS right on top of things, Barack Obama knows it too!

"I know there are some people who won't vote for me because I'm black, and that's ok," said Democratic candidate Barack Obama.

Even as the economy seems to be in freefall, as Americans grapple with whether to vote for Obama, the first African American presidential nominee, or his Republican opponent, John McCain, it's a decision unavoidably colored by race, whether we like it - whether we admit it - or not.

When asked if race will affect a voter's decision, some say it is unavoidable, and that there are some voters who - issues aside - just aren’t ready to cross that racial divide at the polling booth.

Barack Obama, the son of a white American mother and a black father from Kenya, says his race is not an issue for him.

"I self-identify as African American.  That's how I'm treated and that's how I'm viewed, and I'm proud of it"

Isn't it strange, however, that the only people talking about race in this campaign are the Democrats, and more importantly, the candidate himself?  There may be voters who won't vote for Barack Obama because of his race, conversly I suspect that there will also be those who will vote for Mr. Obama because of his race. But in the interest of fairness (BHO is very interested in fairness) and racial harmony, I'd like to address those of you who plan to vote for anyone but Barack Obama because he's black. Please put your latent or overt racial prejudices aside. . .  They're unhealthy and irrational anyway.  There are dozens of reason's not to vote for the Senator from Chicago.

  • His political alliances with felons and domestic terrorists.
  • His Marxist social and economic philosophies.
  • His views on energy and a lack of any cohesive, realistic plan to make America energy independent.
  • His likely choices for Supreme Court Judges.
  • His shifting positions for the sake of gaining votes.  (gun control for example)
  • His voting record in the Senate (ultra liberal)
  • His voting record as an Illinois State Senator (WHAT voting record?)

Take your pick, if you don't like these, there are more.  The point is, a vote for John McCain or against Barack Obama doesn't need to be, and shouldn't be a result of racism.  Barack Obama for reasons having nothing to do with the shade of his skin or his ethnicity, is not suitable for the office of President.

YO, Mr. Obama. . . You Can Take Your Job And . . .
(Random Thoughts)

In the interest of bipartisanship, brotherly love (which in some cases can be called incest), and World peace, Barack Obama has graciously announced that when he wins the election, he will beneficently offer John McCain a job in his administration!

Mr McCain will not be offered a cabinet job, but Mr Obama may ask him to spearhead a bipartisan overhaul of veteran's affairs, an issue close to Mr McCain's heart.

The claims that Mr Obama is already planning his administration come as a friend of Mr McCain revealed that the Republican candidate is concerned that the ugly rhetoric of the last week will damage his reputation as an honest patriot if he loses on November 4.

The Republican strategist, who used to work for Mr McCain, said: "John knows that his reputation as a decent man is on the line but he's got devils on each shoulder telling him to hit harder."

Apparently the election took place when I nodded off last night, or possibly someone's counting their chickens in the pre-hatched phase again!  Obviously I don't speak for the McCain campaign, but I'll offer my advice anyway.  John, just say no!   The job offer offends me,  bipartisanship offends me, being called a devil, offends me, and John McCain's obsessive concern about his legacy as a decent man offends me.  Is it decent to, in the name of decency, roll over and allow Marxists to seize control of the government?  I dare say, John, that Teddy Roosevelt took, and held ground using means that some might not have viewed as decent.  But then again, John, it's becoming increasingly obvious that you're no Teddy Roosevelt.

I Believe, John . . . Help Thou My Unbelief!
(Random Thoughts)

I'm getting conflicting messages from this entire political campaign in general and from John McCain in particular.  It seems that the Obama campaign has come up with a new point of attack, claiming that McCain supporters at McCain/Palin rallies  are only about an inch short of being a lynch mob (yes, I used the word lynch... as in what they were known to do to horse theives in centuries past!)Hours later I read this in Time Magazine.

After days of watching in silence, McCain calms the crowd at a Minnesota town meeting.

“I want everyone to be respectful. And let’s make sure we are, because that’s the way politics is done in America.”

Tells one supporter who says he’s scared of an Obama presidency: “I have to tell you, he is a decent person, a person that you do not have to be scared [of] as president of the United States.”

After a woman calls Obama “an Arab terrorist” McCain interrupts to say: “No, ma’am. He is a decent family man with whom I happen to have some disagreements.”

Ok, I'll give you that BHO isn't a terrorist, but I think I would have left it at that.  And I suppose we can be respectful, although I doubt anything I have to say about the man would be considered respectful by the left, regardless of what tone of voice I said it in, or if I could manage to say it with a smile on my face.  What I find frustrating is that I don't believe for one New York minute that Senator Obama is "decent", at least not if you're using any definition of the word found in Websters!  Why do we have to pretend he is?  You want more proof?  About thirty minutes after I read about John McCain calming the raging, snarling horde in Minnesota, I read this.

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. -- Sen. John McCain on Friday accused his rival of being connected to a group it said was conducting voter fraud, calling for federal investigations and media inquiries into the progressive group ACORN and its ties to Sen. Barack Obama.

In a conference call with reporters, McCain campaign manager Rick Davis said he is worried the election is being "stolen" in several battleground states where irregularities have been discovered in voter registrations collected by ACORN, the Association of Community Organizers for Reform Now .

"We don't think the election is something that should be stolen from the American electorate," Davis said, calling on Obama to join him in calling for the inquiries.

"ACORN is an organization that has violated the law on a repeated basis," Davis said. "Barack Obama has given $832,000 within the last year to an organization that is a front group for ACORN."

Can anyone tell me exactly what about voter fraud is decent?  What kind of decent person would engage in this sort of activity.  Please don't bother telling me that this is the work of ACORN, not Mr. Obama. We ALL know that  Obama and ACORN have a long, documented history.  Then there's the matter of the $832,000.00, which I'm thinkin' didn't go to buy mints for the ACORN offices.

So, John, you tell us the Senator from Chicago is a decent family man, then you tell us you suspect him of having close ties to a group that in addition to being associated with the sub prime mortgage scandal is also engaging in voter fraud.  We're telling you we're tired of the PC crap.  We're tired of being lied to, and we're tired of making nice.  Does Barack Obama scare me?  No, he doesn't, but a Barack Obama Presidency scares the HELL out of me.  Something tells me, John, it scares you too.

A Momentary Lapse of Insanity . . .
(Random Thoughts)

John Boehner (R-Ohio) suggested that after a string of voter fraud allegations against the "we just want to help register the poor and down trodden to vote" group, ACORN, it might be prudent to withdraw their federal funding!

Washington, Oct 9 - House Republican Leader John Boehner (R-OH) today issued the following statement following mounting allegations of voter registration fraud perpetrated by the left-wing group ACORN:

“The latest allegations of voter registration fraud by ACORN are further evidence that this group cannot be trusted with another dollar of the taxpayers’ money.

“Election cycle after election cycle, this organization has been at the forefront of breaking the law in order to promote their left-wing agenda. All the while, they have been the recipients of millions of dollars of federal funding through various federal programs and third-party groups. House Republicans took at stand recently to cut off funding to an ACORN slush fund created by their allies in the House Majority, but now more must be done.

“All federal funding to ACORN must be stopped. The ACORN slush fund must be disbanded. Sources of federal funding through the Department of Housing and Urban Development or any other agency must be stopped. Contracting for services between candidates for federal office and ACORN, as Senator Obama has done, must end. Now that the taxpayers own Fannie Mae, any funding from Fannie Mae’s nonprofit foundation to ACORN must stop.

“ACORN spent decades promoting the housing policies that brought America’s economy to the brink, and similarly over the years has committed fraud on our system of elections, making American voters question the fairness and accuracy of the exercise of their most fundamental right under the Constitution. Now it is time to cut off ACORN before it grows even more destructive.”

WOW!!!!  Why didn't I think of that!?  OH WAIT. . . I did think of that.  I wonder why it took the Minority Leader so long!?

Sarah Palin is Hateful, Stupid, Racist, Inarticulate, and She's MEAN Too!
(Random Thoughts)

Has Sarah Palin provoked you to rage?  Have you found yourself uttering profanities and shouting threats at total strangers?  You are not alone, but fortunately, the left has noticed, and they're looking out for you!  Mary Mitchell of the Chicago Sun-Times is furious and making demands!

Sarah Palin should apologize to the Obama campaign and the American people for her role in bringing out the worst in her supporters.

During a campaign rally yesterday in Clearwater, Florida supporters turned on the media after Palin again blamed mainstream media for her shortcomings.

According to a published report in the Washington Post, Palin reporters turned on the press after she blamed the media for her inarticulate interviews. Some supporters used racial slurs, and at one point someone in the audience yelled: "Kill him."

Palin's pit-bull mentality has not only set a negative tone, but a dangerous one. She should be censured

Do you suppose Ms. Mitchell is as concerned about insults, half truths, and lies hurled at Governor Palin and her family from the left?  Can anyone show me the article she wrote voicing outrage at the hacking of Sarah's email?  Funny stuff, liberal outrage!

China, The Gift, That Keeps on Giving!
(Random Thoughts)

More cheery news from mainland China!  Apparently the victims of poison Chinese milk has doubled to over 90,000, and that's just within China itself.  God only knows what other countries will be affected by their tainted products.  But even more troubling is the Chinese government's reaction to the problem.

But as part of an ongoing effort to restore confidence in the "made in China" brand, the government on Wednesday also released new dairy safety standards, that set limits on melamine, a cheap industrial chemical that can be used to cheat quality checks.

The limits set by the Ministry of Health's new standards are one milligram of melamine per kilogram for infant formula, 2.5 milligrams per kilogram for liquid milk, milk powder and food products containing at least 15 percent milk.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration said earlier this month that no amount of melamine is safe in baby formula, but China said it has set levels low enough to protect its people's health.

Are you kidding me? Isn't it time we severely limit, if not eliminate our imports from China?  I'm just sayin'!
